So this week I talk about resting and reset.
I want to encourage you to find a way to rest and reset.
That may mean that we need to look at our goals reevaluate them or even re-defined them.
Rest and reset can provide a course correction and this is what shipping and airliners do to make sure they are on the correct course and based on the correct data and observation they adjust to course to their destination.
Because life tends to get us a bit off course once in a while.
I think Rest can look different depending on the person, what you’re going through, so let’s not look at the normal idea of resting as not doing nothing BUT could include that.
Thank about what are some ways you can destress or reevaluate where you’re at?
and I also think we need to work this in our daily lives, either weekly or daily spend time in “REST”
Below are some ideas that might help you rest and reset
Suggestions to resting
Take a break from Social media
Getting away alone
Do something fun
Get enough sleep
Spend time with Family & Friends
Read a book
Find a way to de-stress
And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all His work of creation.
~ Genesis 2:3
Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God.
~ Exodus 20:8-10
And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.
~Exodus 33:14
In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.
~Psalm 4:8
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
~Psalm 23:2-3
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.
~Psalm 37:7

Advantages of Personal Organization
What are the advantages of organization?
- Reduces anxiety and stress caused by not having control of things
- Increases your efficiency, enabling you to do more things in less time
- Frees up time to accomplish more things
- Creates healthy organization and filing habits that allow you to search for and find things much faster
- Generates responsibility
- Induces self-control and discipline
So what stops of from getting organized ?
- Procrastination, the act of leaving something to be done later when there is no consequence for not performing a task
- Mental tiredness
- Physical tiredness
- Lack of prioritization
- Lack of definition in tasks
- Problems with self-discipline
Tips to think about
- A place for Everything and Everything in its place
For everything that you own, designate a place for it.
Something doesn’t have a place? Make one. Then simply put things back where they belong when you’ve finished using them.
It’s simple and effective, but hard to do at first until you consistently form the habit.
IF you don’t like where it is MAKE a NEW HOME for it.
- Designate times
One of the best ways to keep your life organized is to create routines.
You probably have a morning routine on working days. What about lunchtimes, evenings and weekends?
Routines mean you don’t have to constantly make decisions about what to do and when to do it. For example, you could routinely check your personal emails at lunchtime.
You can have too much of a good thing though; use enough routine to make a difference, but not so much that you get bored.
- Start small
If you want to know how to organize your desk, home or office, you don’t have to conquer everything at once. Choose a small chunk (maybe the top of your desk, or a drawer?) and organize that.
Use the tip after this one to keep it organized, and practice that system until it becomes habit.
Once you’ve got on top of that you can expand your to something else.
- Put it away promptly and properly
Done using something? Most people will put it down somewhere nearby, with the intention of putting it away later. But disorganized places are full of these intentions.
Instead of letting things pile up, put them away immediately.
This principle applies for pretty much anything.
- Capture it
Information and requests come at you verbally, digitally or on paper.
Use the simplest, fewest and most accessible capture tools you can to act as your inboxes.
Have an in tray and dump everything on that, then choose a regular time to go through it. This works particularly well if you really want to organize paperwork.
- Keep filing simple
If your filing system is too complicated or inaccessible, chances are you won’t use it.
- Make sure it’s usable
If you’re still not sure how to get organized, ask yourself two questions:
Have I formed the habits I need to get and stay organized, and are my systems simple and accessible enough?

This week I explain what was going on and what I learned.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:10-13 (NIV)

- Start your day right That means spending time with God Psalm 5:3 “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”
- When a problem arises and they will ask what does this makes possible?
- Be in a state of growing and learning
- Be determined to overcome to get the victory
- Be in gratitude find something to be thankful for every day. When you start feeling bad or get the upset think of something to be grateful for.
- Focus on what is going right or where you are going not on your past and not on your mistakes.
Remember your thoughts are important but it is also the actions that we take that are important.
Then it goes both ways we can think all day that we should be doing this and doing that and NOT take action on anything and we won’t see any change.
OR or we can be doing a lot of things and see real changes going on and still focus on the bad and will have these mental roadblocks and feel depressed and upset this will cause you to stop taking action or slow you down,

This week I talk about the 4 battlefields we all struggle with
Some days it is totally obvious but other days it is subtle or not even noticeable. We are in a battle. It may not be one that we can see, but none-the-less, it is real.
- Emotional battles- dealing with love, pain, disappointment, and hurt feeling.
- Intellectual battles of the mind – our self talk, feeling loved, fears and most of all over thinking.
- Physical battles of what to eat, how to eat , pain in our body’s, cancer, other healthy issues.
- Spiritual battlefield. Ultimately this is an eternal life or death battle. Christians find their security in Christ; however, there is a real, day-to-day battle of flesh versus spirit which affects our peace of mind.
Half the battle is the awareness OF THE battle. This is not a “one and done” fight. It is an ongoing daily fight. We don’t get to “get it and set it”.
Become aware of the impact of the daily voices and the daily choices!
You are in a battle but you are not alone–
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”-Philippians 4:6-7
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.I do not give you as the world gives.Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

This week I talk about time management, I have a special Guest My friend Winston Faircloth who drops in to respond a question on how he manages his time. Check out is Podcast and website here
Who controls your time?
First question is in control?
Who is responsible?
YOU ARE
First realize you have the most control over your life.
People will try to persuade us or just to do things but you have a choice.
Well we have a choice on what we’re going to do so my tips are to compartmentalize and create a list of things that you need to do so But you can do them as early as possible and check them off the list
So remember action creates results
