This week on the podcast I talked about how actions are important. But our words bring life but the action we take is what molds the words into life. Words without action will not create results if you want results anything you do you have to take.
If we’re not careful in taking action then we can start having wishful thinking. Wishful thinking is that just that it’s a wish.
But when we want and desire, have a passion for things, then we create plans whether we realize it or not to bring them to life.
whether it is planting a garden, building a birdhouse, whether it is cleaning your house how about buying a new car all of those things have plans and actionable items.
Often times we fail for lack of plans but sometimes we fail for lack of action or taking the wrong action.

I believe we should take action on what brings us peace and joy for the level where we are at, maybe some of us are not ready for the same level of action others are taking. But that does not mean that we should not take any action so let us level up and take action and take pride in our words.

This week on level yourself up.

I released a new episode of the podcast episode 65.  I was going to initially take a one-month hiatus, and it ends up, I took a little longer than that. I’ve been trying to get my health lined out, I’ve been doing a lot of walking. And this podcast I talk a little bit about that some of the changes coming to the podcast. Some of the ways I would like to interact with my community and to build a larger community where we could interact with one another,

also, like you to think about subscribing to this podcast.

I also just launched a YouTube channel for some of the Technology things that I do. Click here for that link. And if you have any suggestions about the videos that you’d like to see, please let me know.

Also, I just want to reach out if people need help, staying in contact virtually with friends and family. Be sure to email me at john@realsimpletechnology.com I’d love to be able to help you at this time.

So this episode is after taking a sabbatical for one month.
Now I only plan to take a couple of weeks off just to regroup and rethink where I want to take this podcast and my business.
And life can throw us a curveball so I talk about why it’s been a month versus two weeks and how the power of having good habits have gotten me through kind of a rough month.
and the power of having good habits and how habits can keep us on course and how it is easier to get back on track by having good habits.

This week on level yourself up. I talk about my friend Jeff Overpeck some things that I’ve seen him practice I can’t say that I’ve been taught this by him but it’s things that he’s definitely lived in his life and so reinforced. You know I think some of the times that we don’t value our friends until they’re gone. He truly was a gift. In my life, and a friend. So join me this week, as I just share three things that stood out to me as who he is, as a person. There’s plenty of more that he demonstrated in his life, that I wouldn’t even have time to put in this podcast. I did attach a link to the sermon, he had prepared since he was an elder at a church, now someone else preach it for him. I have Attached the video Below.

On the podcast this week, I shared with you three ways that you can adjust or Grow from setbacks.
I share with you three things you can do if we’re having setbacks. And most of us are having setbacks in our life with corona virus. You know there is a lot of people out of work, things we don’t understand or are afraid of.
But now is not the time to slumber now’s not a time to be afraid. Now is the time to maybe look at things a little bit differently. So here are three ways that we can do to grow from having setbacks,
1 Ask yourself what have you learned from this situation and just write make out a list and write some things down things you’ve learned from your setbacks.
2 You can ask Do you need a course correction, maybe you’ve set some goals, maybe you haven’t. And maybe you want to create new goals. So now is the time to ask Do I need a course correction on what I’m trying to achieve in this world.
3 You can look through the things that you wrote down about what you have learned and maybe the things you need to do for course correction. See if you have any fear around that. And if you have fear around those goals, or around those actions you need to take, then you need to put that fear under your feet and kill it.

Do not be afraid. I hope you enjoy this week’s podcast.

Hey, you might have noticed this podcast did not get sent out on a Monday mornings like it normally does. And that’s because I was not happy with the recording that I had so I decided today rather than release it, I was okay with it being a little late. And so I came home and after spending some time with my family getting some stuff done around the house. I recorded this podcast.

I just want to share with you that you are loved with a great love that there are mercy and grace. At the foot of the cross. And I just want to remind you that when all that is going on and you feel lost and broken. We can look at what’s happening. Take some perspective, some inner reflection that maybe this time is just a time of reflection that we need to reset ourselves and to get our eyes to our first love. Then we can look at what’s needed. You know, do we need physically needing a thing do we spiritually need something. Does our family or our loved ones need something? What is the need at hand? Not a want, but what’s the real need, then we can start praying for how to get those items, then we need to look at what’s next what’s on the horizon, what do we need to prepare for and also talk a little bit about strongholds. If you wonder what a stronghold is in your life, you can just ask what negative thing has a strong hold in your life? Then I share with you, Romans 8:17 and in Ephesian 3:37.
That the spiritual forces of darkness are always on the clock and committed to cause and make our lives miserable. So grab the breastplate of righteousness and that glorious shield of faith in that all-powerful sword of the Spirit and that mighty helmet of salvation. All the while stand there with your feet fitted for the gospel of peace and stand your ground, let’s not have any more negative strongholds on your watch. God bless.

This week on level yourself up. Episode 59, we discuss the reset in March, or what I want to call the march reset. So with that, we’re talking about how we need to trust God, to get us through these times that we need to seek His kingdom first and everything that he’s doing for us that he will provide. I shared Matthew chapter six verses 26 through 34. So let us just pray for Israel for the world. And for the United States for the country that we live in, that God would heal our lands that we would repent first. And God would heal our lands that we would seek his face. I do believe this shaking is to warn the church, and the world that we need to prepare. I don’t believe it is the end of the world.

Matthew 6:24-34

25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? 28And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, 29yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ 32For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34“So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

I also discuss a little about the book I am reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: How to Stay Emotionally Healthy and Spiritually Alive in the Chaos of the Modern World.

This week on episode 58 of level yourself up. I talked about watching the movie The Hobbit, and how things spoke to me, that we should be doing in our business & life. That we should be moved by love and peace, not by fear, we should be looking for opportunities to move in love and peace.and find opportunities in these dark times.

I also share phone app  called otter that allows you to record your notes on your phone, and then email them to you or text them to other people. https://otter.ai

Quote Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? I don’t know. Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.

So this week on episode 57 I talk about organization How we need to organize our thoughts, our house, our possessions, also share a little bit about how I’m thinking about changing up this podcast.

I share a little bit about how I may change the podcast up a little by creating segments about tech business and integrate some about health, business, and life.

Also in this podcast, I talk about the power of talking to yourself and asking questions.

Grace is the most powerful force at work on the earth, and it’s a power that increases where there is weakness.
