This week I thought we should dive a little deeper into the being in a state of learning.

We talk about a fixed mindset and a growth mindset.

Which mindset do you have?

  • Do you see failure is the limit of your abilities ?
  • That either you’re good at something or you’re not ?
  • You don’t like to be challenged ?
  • Either you can do something or you can’t?
  • Do you believe that your potential is pre-determined ?
  • When you get frustrated do you give up?
  • Do you believes feedback and criticism are personal?
  • Do you stick to only what you know?

A growth mindset

  • Failure is a opportunity to grow
  • Can learn to do with anything I want
  • Challenges help me to grow
  • My effort and attitude determines my abilities
  • Feedback is constructive
  • Inspired by the success of others
  • like to try new things

Quote of the week is from Dr. Chuck Missler “The only barrier to truth is the presumption that you already have it.”

017- Five basic steps we need to have in place to transform our mindset.
  1. Recognize you don’t know everything always look to improve.
  2. You don’t know what you don’t know
  3. Stay in a state of learning -Learning from everyone learning what works and what doesn’t work.
  4. Our own failures and mistakes could be the seeds of success.
  5. To own our successes this is probably the most important step to set little monuments and victories along the way to help guard against negativity also finding the importance of learning to survive in the valleys of our life.
Hebrew word for prayer – Tefillah – means to “self evaluate”
Romans 12.2 -“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Quote of the week by Rick Warren – Transformation is a process, and as life happens there are tons of ups and downs. It’s a journey of discovery – there are moments on mountaintops and moments in deep valleys of despair.
