Bible scholar and teacher Dr. Michael Heiser discusses the inerrancy of scripture and the inspiration of the Bible. He has a high view of scripture, which means he believes in 2 Timothy 3:16 which says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,”. Heiser explains that the Bible is not a science textbook and was never meant to explain the natural world. It was meant to reveal spiritual truths. He also explains that some of the laws of God in the Torah being found in the earlier Code of Hammurabi does not negate the inspiration of scripture. He also does a cursory look at the various inerrancy theories in theology. Factual or scientific inaccuracies in the Bible does not mean it is errant. The truths a passage is meant to convey is always inerrant and infallible.
